Poor Little Man

Well it sure has been a rough week for our little Jaden! On Tuesday night, he was not himself. He is a very wiggly little guy and on tuesday night he just layed on our laps for a good 2 hrs, we enjoyed the snuggle but knew something was up. He cried and coughed most the night, I just figured he had a cold. Well the next morning he coughed and coughed and sneezed and coughed and couldn't go 30 seconds without atleast 3 of the above! So i called the nurse to see if he is old enough yo put Vicks on his feet (great trick) and she told me he needed to be seen so i had to be to work so i calledd shawn and he took him in and lo and behold he had RSV and Broncialitis, not so fun. Well that night he got a fever that wouldnt go away, finally about 2am it broke and we went to sleep...

Well the next morning I was happyto discover no fever...well about 10am that changed so i called the nurse and she said to bring him in immediately (way to make me nervous)! So I jumped in the car and off we went. Well to make an already way too long story shorter...we added an ear infection to the mix. Our poor little guy had a very rough week but he is tough and I am hoping we are on the upswing!!! Last night he slept 12 hrs so hopefully that gave his little body time to start getting healthy! We love you little man!

SO BIG!!!

So I know its been awhile since our last post and I do apologize!!! Things have been busy! I do have some exciting news! Jaden just had his 6 month check up last week and hast finally made the charts!!! WAHOOO!!! We're so proud! :) For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about, when Jaden was born he was in the 0% for both his height and weight! Well by his 2 month he was finally on the charts in weight...but not so much in height!!! He's just a little guy!!! Well it finally happened! Jaden is now in the 4% for his hieght 9% for his weight and 13% for his head (he'll grow into that)! Anyways I was just so excited I had to post about it! Other thank that not too much is happening! But here are a few new photos! (cause honestly no one gets on hear to read my ramblings...its all about the baby pics, and I'm okay with that! )

So Jaden has started sitting up in the bath tub, it still makes him kinda nervous at first but then he's okay with it!

Merry Merry Merry Christmas!

Well this week has been a very long and eventful one for this Clegg family! It has been so much fun though! It started on Tuesday with the annual Hancock Christmas Party (Shawn's mom's extended family) and what a party it was! There were a ton of people there! I think the highlight though, was Jaden sitting on santa's lap, he was quite intrigued! Of course santa's beard went right in his mouth though...gross!

The next day was not only Christmas Ever, but a VERY exciting day for Jaden! He officially turned 6 months old and got to try baby food! We decided to give it to him before all the Christmas Eve festivities and opted to go with squash!

He seemed to like it alright! He seemed less impressed with it as time went on but nonetheless it was very exciting and fun! He is growing up so fast!

Later that night we went up to Annie and Paul's for a fun Christmas Eve Celebration! Pauls family was in town from the Netherlands, so it was quite the get together and loads of fun! The Norats are always so generous about lending out their home! Thanks guys! Every year the kids get christmas pajamas from my mom, Elizabeth had a quite tramatic experience before this and was not in the mood for pictures...so here's one of Marissa and Jaden!

This is the football that my dad brought to the hospital the night Jaden was born. At the time it was bigger than him, so i thoughy it might be fun to take a picture of him with it at 6 months to show how much he's grown!

When we got home, we got to reap the bennifits of Jaden's new baby food and lets just say that because of that he got to open the pj's mom and dad got him for Christmas!

Then it was off to bed for the little one on his first Christmas!

The next morning it was time for more presents! Jaden LOVED his new saucer...especially everything on it that he could eat!

Then it was off to Grandmas and Grandpa Clegg's for Christmas Dinner and yep, you guessed it, more presents! Jaden loves wrapping paper!

What a great week! What a great Christmas! We are so very blessed this year! It was so much fun to have Jaden experience his first Christmas! He was spoiled rotten as usual and loved every minute of it! We are so grateful for the holiday season and all that it represents! For our family and friends, for our health and all the many things we are blessed with every day! We hope you all had an amazing Christmas and took a moment to realize just how lucky you are too! Merry Christmas!

Christmas Pictures!

So today we went to get all the grandkids pictures taken for Christmas!! As most of you know, Jaden is the only boy so far on my side, and I must say quite the little stud! He has the cutest cousins ever though and we actually got a decent pic!

Then Jaden got his own picture taken, just for kicks, It wasn't my favorite but still really cute! I was hoping to get a picture of him smiling, but he was totally done by the time we got to him! Luckily even so tired he could barely keep his eyes open, he was still adorable! Gotta love it! Thats right...thats my kid!

The Happiest Time of the Year!

I'm so excited for the holidays this year! I always love the holidays, but this year, having Jaden in our little family has made them even better than I could have imagined! He is such a good fun baby and we love him so much! This year for thanksgiving we had a relatively small get together, it was just Shawns parents, Grandma and us, it was nice to spend some one on one time together! Shawn and I have SO much to be grateful for and feel so overly blessed! We have eachother, a beautiful, healthy little boy, amazing families, our jobs, the gospel, I could go on and on...and on! I hope everyone takes the time to realize just how much we all have and enjoy the true meaning of this season! Here are some fun pics from thanksgiving and a few bonuses!

Shawn and I decided that for our christmas cards this year we are just going to take the pictures ourselves, and...since we have a baby.... we don't have to be in them! :) HOORAY! Jaden is much cuter anyways! So yesterday I went and got a fun little santa hat for him and we took some pictures last night! I guess my philosophy is with a baby this cute, do we really need a professional!? Okay, he's getting his pics taken with his cousins professionally next week, but look at how cute these pics are and you'll see that I mean!

Buddies

This last week Jaden had a playdate with Connor and Tristan! I was in a student ward with Connor and Tristan's mom's back in the day (Sally and Nichole) and we have always been very close friends! We didn't even know we were all preggo until we were all over 3 months along, so it has been fun getting together and having boys the same age! Well we got kinda bored so we decided to take pics of the boys together! Aren't they cute!

Then for those of you who know anything about our dear sweet little Jaden, you know that he DOES NOT like to sleep any way but bunddled very tight with 2 recieving blankets and a snuggler that velcros! Well apparently that's only at night, because today I decided I was going to try to put him down for a nap just in his crib unswaddled. This was a crazy idea for me because last night he got his fingers up out of his swaddle twice and woke up each time! I tried to let him put himself back to sleep but after 2 hrs of waking up every 5 min, crying for ten and then repeating I was just done! I gave in and rebunddled him. Maybe we are on our way though because he has now been asleep almost 45 min unswaddled!!! HOORAY!!! Good job little guy!

Jaden also turned 5 months old yesterday! He's getting SO big!
