Well....its been way too long since I updated the blog and I won't bore you with excuses but just fill you in as to whats been going on with us lately....(just a heads up my amateur photographer son did a number on our camera, so the pictures this post are limited...but I'm working on it! )
Well in February I talked Shawn into running in the sweethearts 5k in Bountiful. It was a lot of fun and I would deffinately do it again....a little frustrating that it was so much easier for him than it was for me..but I just had a baby...right? Thats what I tell myself anyways :)
Shawn finished his last class for his Masters Degree and we are so proud of him and so glad that he is done with school FOREVER!!!! As a graduation present, he, his dad, and his brother Trent, headed to Denver to watch BYU play in the NCAA tournament! They had a wonderful time and are talking about making it an annual thing. It was good for him to be able to get away but if it does become an annual thing, we might have to have an annual girls and kiddos adventure the same weekend! :)
My little Ella Kate is now 4 months old...how crazy is that!? She seriously has the sweetest little personality and disposition! She is very content to just hang out and see what is going on!
The other day Jaden Ella and I were playing and Ella and I were chasing J around the house and he was running away screaming...nothing new...well Ella thought it was hilarious and just started laughing hysterically at him! It was so cute! They have been interacting a lot more every since and she seems to think her big brother is quite hilarious!
We started her on rice cereal this last week and she seems to love it, she picked up eating from a spoon really quickly and if she had her way would eat a little of everything we eat! She is LOVING the bumbo and the saucer and so am I! She always wants to be stading and loves playing with toys...she has even started showing an interest in Duke! Her 4 month apointment is in a week so I will update the stats after that
As you can see she is beautiful and growing up WAY TOO FAST!!!

Whenever we have to go run errands in Ogden it usually ends up being a day trip because its such a drive I might as well just stay and get everything done at once....so I try to squeeze in some fun things for Jaden while we are there so I don't feel like such a terrible mom! We usually do the Treehouse Museum, pet store, etc.... Well the other day the weather was actually pretty decent (we have had a lot of snow lately) so we stopped off at the Ogden Train Station! Jaden LOVES trains and was SO excited!!! It is definitely something that we will be doing more... apparently there is a train museum I think we will try to hit next time as well!
I can't believe my little man will be 3 this summer! I registered him for preschool in the fall and cried... He is talking like crazy and we have some pretty hilarious conversations. For instance yesterday we are in the car and shawn and I are talking about buying a new computer and Jaden says "daddy I boke mommys cama, I sorry mommy, I pay for it" He makes me laugh every day ! He also really loves to play games, like the fishing game, pop up pirate and even a few games on the computer which he is actually really good at! He is still VERY into playing sports and lately loves to take duke on walks! I can't wait for this summer when its warm enough to spend our days outside!
I feel so blessed to have these two as my kids!

I also must say having a little girl to dress up is quite fun!!! All Jaden wants to wear is Adidas and Soccer jerseys...... so I just had to post this picture of EllaKate in this cute little outfit her grandma got her!!!
Hopefully as it warms up we will have more to post about: adventures outside and exciting things to come! :)
